SipNRead Review - Written in the Star
Anjali Kirpalini has always been with us right from the very begining. She's a very nice person and a very good author. Presenting SipNRead's very first review, in the bookreview series, the review of Written in the Stars.
Books are mirrors :- You only see in them what u already had inside u..No I have not become a Querd unlike Sameer but this Quote describes this book very well..This is my Story i can easily relate to Ananya Jhangiani in every aspect..From her confusing career and jobs to her dark past.. From her irresistible Food habits to her Extra Kilo's....From her Overachiever siblings to her staunch believe in astrology...From her "Sindhi Genes" To her awesome relationship with Akash(her brother)..I can feel a strong connect with this book..
Highlights And Lessons Learnt :-
:-They all are fake ! They judge people based on what they are wearing. The more expensive your shoes,The more worthy u are of conversation.Nobody cares how well read u are..
(I being a victim of these so called "High class parties and people" could actually relate to this)
:-Where people focus on the quantity of friends, I focus on Quality (This line describes my trait of making buddies)
:-Its funny how its easy to spot what's wrong in someone else's life, but wen it comes to my life ,Im as Clueless as ever (I being this supportive advisor for my friends n cousins is always clueless about how to manage my own issues)
:-You Achieve one thing ,you"ll keep wanting more.. But relationships,People, love, family, friends-these are the things that complete life..
:-Just because someone cant appreciate ur value/Worth ,doesn't mean we should stop believing in yourself too..
:- According to Dalai Lama :-The purpose to our lives is to b happy. But its impossible to be happy all the time..So why not try to stay as positive as possible about the situations
:-Love is a gamble,No risk,No return...Just love the sweet love story between Sameer and Annu..Moving from a dark past is always difficult but once u decided to move on the future will b worth gambling for. ;)
Positive Punches :-
:-Steve Jobs "Connecting the dots" was quite an inspiring read
:-Loved the concept of naming the chapters after a tarot card or an astro term..
:-And when books end on happy note and give u positivity in abundance than its worth Reading...
:- After reading a good book i have a hard time coping with reality..
P.S :- If u think ur a loser or ever felt that u have lost something read this one and get ur positivity metre back on track ...
Rating :- 4.75/5
